Units in the Student's Book start with a Preview page with lead-in activities, so students can engage with the topic and understand the communicative aims and skills objectives. These are linked to the self-assessment sections in the Reviews at the end of every other unit, based on the CEFR competencies and 'Can do' statements.
Language is presented in context and practiced over the first three lessons of every unit, with opportunities for personalization and critical thinking encouraged through Your Response. The fourth lesson comprises an Integrated Skills lesson, where language skills are developed and practiced, and a Learner Independence section, focusing on learning strategies and student autonomy.
Inspired Extra! sessions offer fun consolidation and extension exercises for mixed-ability classes. Culture sections, taking the place of the Reviews in every other unit, build cross-cultural awareness and encourage discussion. At the back of the Student's Book, there is a Language File section for reference, and a Wordlist.
