Macmillan Natural and Social Science is a new six-level course for children studying science in English. It develops children's knowledge of science, history and geography, while providing systematic development of English language and skills. Students develop investigative skills with easy-to-perform experiments and projects throughout the course. Activities are varied in their approach to motivate children's learning and to cater for differences in learning styles, with a focus on activities that develop critical thinking skills and autonomous learning.

An integral part of the course is its hands-on approach to learning science. Through practical investigations, children are encouraged to apply scientific thinking (making predictions and evaluating results), and to learn through doing.
